Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ComplyLet Pro app and services (“App”), operated by ComplyLet Pro Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, signing up, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

ComplyLet Pro is a tax software house with built-in landlord compliance tools. It helps self-employed individuals and landlords with:

  • Making Tax Digital (MTD) quarterly submissions to HMRC
  • Property and tenancy management
  • Automatic certificate tracking and reminders (Gas Safety, EICR, EPC, Legionella)
  • Compliance dashboard and alerts

The App is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee it will be error-free or prevent every fine. You remain fully responsible for the accuracy of your data and all submissions to HMRC.

2. Account Registration and Security

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. You agree to provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at info@complyletpro.com.

3. Use of the App

You may use the App to track properties, manage certificates and tasks, integrate with bank/Xero, and submit MTD returns (after explicit authorisation via Government Gateway OAuth).

You may not:

  • Use the App for illegal purposes or to violate HMRC or UK laws
  • Reverse engineer, copy, modify, or sell the App or any part of it
  • Upload harmful content (viruses, spam, etc.)
  • Share your account with others without permission

4. Tax Submission Features (MTD & Related Services)

By using the tax features and authorising us via Government Gateway (OAuth), you explicitly instruct and authorise ComplyLet Pro to:

  • Prepare and submit your MTD quarterly updates and related filings to HMRC on your behalf
  • Access the necessary HMRC services using your credentials for this purpose only

You remain fully responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. We do not provide tax advice — we only facilitate submission based on the data you enter or import.

You must review all pre-filled submissions before they are sent to HMRC. We are not liable for any penalties, interest, or losses arising from inaccurate or incomplete data you supply.

We reserve the right to refuse or suspend tax submission services if we suspect fraudulent activity or breach of these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property & Idea Protection

All content, designs, features, dashboard logic, compliance scoring system, certificate reminder workflow, MTD integration process, and the overall business model of ComplyLet Pro are our exclusive intellectual property.

By using the App you agree not to copy, imitate, or build any competing landlord compliance or MTD tool using knowledge gained from ComplyLet Pro for 24 months after your account ends.

You own your own data. We have a limited licence to use it only to provide the service.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

The App offers the following tiers:

  • Bronze – £10 per month or £100 per year (core tracking & reminders)
  • Silver – £20 per month or £200 per year (advanced compliance)
  • Gold – £35 per month or £350 per year (full MTD preparation + dashboard)

Add-ons:

  • Extra property slots on Bronze and Silver – £5 per month each, as shown on Plans
  • MTD One-Time – £30 (one tax year of quarterly submissions for one income source)

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew. You can cancel anytime before the next billing date. We will send a renewal reminder at least 7 days in advance (as required by UK law). No refunds for partial months except as required by law.

7. Acceptable Use and Termination

You agree not to misuse the App. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your data may be deleted after 30 days. You may delete your account at any time via Settings.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranties. We do not guarantee accuracy, reliability, or that submissions will always be accepted by HMRC on the first attempt.

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, tax penalties, or fines arising from your use of the service.

You agree to indemnify us if any inaccurate data or submission you make causes us loss or a claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
